Poetry and thoughts on my journey toward healing and unlocking the silence within. Words are magic. Words have the power to heal, so find your voice, and fly
The scroll of your handwriting. Fancy loops and swirls that always lead to the lies that lie on my kitchen counter in an unopened purple envelope. The dutiful birthday card. Nothing more.
I absolutely love the pictures and art that you chose to use with your blog. You have such a keen eye. thank you for your honesty and sharing the struggles--through you I see a little glimpse of what my daughter deals with...
Although I’m not defined by these labels, here is a bit about myself. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a writer, and poet who teaches yoga for a living. I mainly teach in therapeutic settings to trauma survivors. I, myself am a childhood rape survivor, and recovering from Anorexia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I'm learning to be present. Living in the here and now. I'm also learning that I can't change the past, but I am in control of my destiny. I'm taking back my life, taking back my power, and learning to spread my wings and take flight. I like to focus my yoga teaching on body awareness, body acceptance, stress relief, and anxiety. I also teach private clients, so feel free to reach out and book a session at yogagoddess66@gmail.com
