Nothing But Time
Life goes on
with nothing new
until you say
"It's been
a dizzy day,
I just need
to be still."
In my dreams
I still can hear
you screaming in pain
and I wonder
if the time is
now.
Now,
when this world
as I know it,
ends.
We wait for October
and second opinions.
Finding comfort
in the time we have
for doing nothing.
Holding the unknown
in our idle hands.

Go, girl! Go! What an inspirational blog.
"It's been
a dizzy day,
I just need
to be still."
This one is my favorite in this poem. Sometimes, we can't keep still until we feel the weight on our fragile bodies.

i just wonder is this poem fiction? no one is sick are they? prayers be with you.
My husband has a brain tumor, and we are going in for an MRI and 2nd opinion in October. Thanks for the prayers!
Such beautiful imagery in this piece. Your works inspire.
Oh my Angela of course you and your husband will be in my prayers!!
Sheesh....what is going on in the world? So many friends and loved ones are having such hard times.

Angel we will remember your husband in prayer. I am so sorry to hear this.
We miss you too, terribly. Syd misses school but I keep reminding myself how hard it was to get her there when she was going. We think of you very often and you will always be very special to us. You and Dave are in my prayers. Sometimes this life is just one foot in front of the other, one day at a time, nothing for granted...
Love you,
Lee
I was trying to figure out what the meaning was in the poem, it sounds so sad. When I read your comment that was not what I would have guess. You and your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers. October must feel like it is ages away at this point. Hang in there and keep the faith.
Thinking of you both!! Hugs!!:-)
