Easter Sunday
Today it rains in Rome.
March 23rd, 2008.
Watching the clouds
that cling to the stillness,
behind the Basilica of St. Peter.
It is 12:22 p.m.
The bruised purple sky of dawn
is soaking through my windows,
and I am here, at home.
